Locally Grown Mums

I’ve been a florist for a long time and I’ve seen a lot of flowers throughout my career.
Every fall, I look forward to the local flower farms’ availability lists. By the end of the season, their crops of Eucalyptus are fully mature- often the cut stems are so tall they barely fit into their large cargo delivery vans.
Their crops of Curly Willow are outstanding too- the twisted stems are supple and have a sumptuous honey brown color.
But the showstoppers truly are their Chrysanthemums.
These outstanding Mums were grown by Carolyn Snell of Snell Family Farm in Buxton, Maine.
These beauties were grown by Broadturn Farm in Scarborough, Maine.
