Frequently Asked Questions

What does “Designer’s Choice” mean?

Leave it up to us to design a beautiful combination for you. Each arrangement is unique and designed with the best imported and seasonal local flowers available.

Can I order flowers in person?

Celadon Floral is a design studio that is not open to the public. All inquiries should be made online.

Do you offer same day delivery?

We offer same day delivery of Designer’s Choice arrangements. In the event that we are unable to assist you, we will recommend other florists in the area.

How much notice do you require for special requests?

A week’s notice is ideal but 2-3 days at a minimum.

Where do you deliver to?

We offer delivery to Brunswick, Topsham, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, Bath, West Bath, Phippsburg, Woolwich, Arrowsic, Georgetown, Durham, Freeport, Pownal, Yarmouth, Cumberland and Falmouth.

Your flowers cost more than some other florists. Why is that?

You’ve probably landed on our website, because you want to send flowers that are different and unique. You want to send something special. We take pride in sourcing quality, specialty flowers that you can’t find at other shops. If you’re sending flowers to someone who loves to garden with a discerning taste, you’re in the right place.

How big is your smallest arrangement?

The smallest arrangement measures approximately 6-7” across and is designed in a 4” x 5” glass cylinder. Check out the blog for a reference photo.

What is your delivery policy?

Flowers are delicate objects, so we take care in ensuring they reach the recipient in perfect condition. For this reason, a call will be made to the recipient to confirm someone is home before we deliver. Flowers will not be left unless someone is there to receive them.

What if the flowers are a surprise?

If asked, we will let the recipient know that the sender would like it to be a surprise, however, a call will still be made to the recipient to notify them of a delivery as flowers will not be left unless someone is there to receive them.
In the event the recipient feels unsafe or uncomfortable, we reserve the right to disclose the sender’s information to the recipient.

I placed an order, but how do I pay?

Placing an order is a two step process. After filling out the order submission form online, you will either receive an invoice in your email from Square or a phone call to collect your credit card information. Please note that a delivery will not be coordinated with the recipient unless the order is paid for.

How long has Celadon Floral been in business?

Celadon Floral was established in February 2021 but I have been designing flowers since 2005. Prior to starting my own floral business, I designed for Pretty Flowers in Brunswick, ME, Nectar in Woburn, MA, Flora Fauna in North Yarmouth, ME and Minott’s Flowers in Portland, ME.

How can I make my flowers last?

Your flowers will arrive in fresh water with a solution of flower food to promote longevity. After a day or so, hold the vase over the sink, gently hold back the stems and slowly tip the old water out and replace with fresh clean water. Flowers will last the longest if kept away from a heat source, fan or direct sunlight.
