Sunrise Wedding at Acadia National Park

Santana and Michael married on top of a mountain at Acadia National Park in Maine. Needing only a bouquet and boutonniere for their ceremony, I was more than happy to help. Using seasonally available flowers from my good friend, Erin at Falmouthtown Flower Co. I put together a bouquet of Hydrangeas, Lisianthus and Dahlias that had a touch of blush and peach coloring.
People say Maine is a small town and this felt true once I discovered Santana and Michael’s photographer was someone whom I had worked with before and who also happened to be a cousin of the Bride.
I met Craig years ago when we were both vendors at a backyard wedding in Weld. It was a stunning property with a bird’s eye view of Mt. Blue. I’ve followed Craig’s work ever since. Not only is he a talented nature photographer but what sets him apart is the way he can bring out genuine joy in people from behind the camera. His portraits feel authentic and there is always a lightness and sparkle in the eyes of his subjects.
Looking through Craig's images of Santana and Michael's wedding, I was moved. What I loved most was that their ceremony felt authentic. It was simple and sweet, natural and relaxed. Marrying on top of a mountain in Acadia at sunrise with just their close friends (who played the role of officiant and witness), their photographer and beloved dog.
