Ryan reached out to me with a clear but relaxed vision for her wedding florals. The color scheme Ryan loved was olive green, orange, cream and white. Ryan was hopeful to have an assortment of big round dahlias mixed with the airiness of delicate floating blooms on almost invisible stems. Ryan was open to texture and foliage and was thrilled about having mostly Maine grown flowers.
With an early October wedding, I knew Dahlias weren’t necessarily a guarantee but I reached out to my friend, Erin at Falmouthtown Flower Co. with my list. Erin grows beautiful orange Ball Dahlias and her farm is typically filled with peach, apricot and orange colored flowers.
I was able to source ‘Cornel Bronze’ Dahlias, Cosmos, Mrs. Burns’ Lemon Basil, 'Love in a Puff' Vine and Oklahoma Zinnias from Erin at Falmouthtown Flower Co. Through the Maine Flower Collective, I was able to source white Lisianthus from Fox Meadow Flower Farm, ‘Coco’ Marigolds from Broadturn Farm, Orlaya from Bumbleroot Organic Farm and green Hanging Amaranthus from Carolyn Snell.
Ryan's color palette echoed the fading summer colors of the surrounding gardens on the property.
