What’s Growing Locally in June
The growing season in Maine has started and after weeks of rain, we’re starting to see the sun again.
June is all about Peonies but also about Stock, Snapdragons, Allium, Yarrow and Campanula.
This time of year also offers lush, textural foliage varieties including Ninebark, Apple Mint and Dusty Miller.
This spring and summer, I’ve already incorporated flowers from East of Eden Flower Farm and Annandale Flower Co. in Bowdoinham, Chase’s Daily in Belfast, Lazy Acres Farm in Farmingdale and Suncatcher Flower Farm in Brunswick.
I’ve also purchased local flowers through the Maine Flower Collective which is a local marketplace for Maine grown flowers.
